It’s figgy pudding time! Come to “A Christmas Carol,” being presented in dramatically intimate Reader’s Theatre Style in performances throughout Manchester,Poultney, and at Stratton Mountain. Five actors, in full Victorian dress, read multiple roles and bring that miserly misanthrope, Ebeneezer Scrooge, vividly to life. Dickens’ beloved classic, in director Gary Meitrott’s vision, reminds us that there’s a second chance to love and be loved. Through Dickens’ compelling and stunningly beautiful language, this production shines a bright light on the meaning of Christmas. Meitrott, a lover of classic literature and founder of Shakespeare on Main Street, says, “Yes, we’re all connected electronically but we’re also isolated. ‘A Christmas Carol’ rings more true than ever in its lesson to give and to love with every moment we have.” Featuring talented regional actors: Vanessa Beattie, Emily Bleakie, Levi Nelson, Robin Chestnut-Tangerman, and Zachary Zupan.
